Dr. Larson performs liposuction using a combination of power-assisted liposuction (PAL), manual liposuction, and the tumescent technique. He selects and blends methods based on the treatment area, tissue quality, and patient goals. Before fat removal begins, a tumescent solution is carefully infused into the treatment area. This sterile fluid contains saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine, and serves several important purposes: it numbs the area, minimizes bleeding, reduces trauma to surrounding tissue, and allows for smoother, more controlled fat removal.

Once the tissue is properly prepared, liposuction is performed through very small incisions using a cannula:
