Breast Implant Exchange Case 2

Gender
Female
Age
Between 76 and 85 years old
Technique

Breast implant exchange/breast revision

Description

This lovely patient in her 80s had a remote history of previously placed breast implants. After multiple decades, she developed capsular contracture, which resulted in painful, asymmetric breasts. To address the capsular contracture, she underwent bilateral breast revision with removal of her old implants, capsulectomy to remove the diseased capsule, and replacement with new silicone implants. This improved her symmetry and shape, as well as her pain. She’s very happy with her results and is doing well.
