Patient Profile (Before Treatment)
- Age: 55 years
- Diagnosis: Advanced-stage lipedema (Stage 3) affecting bilateral lower extremities and arms
- Primary Symptoms:
- Severe disproportionate fat accumulation in legs and arms
- Constant pain and tenderness in affected areas
- Easy bruising
- Significant difficulty with exercise and mobility
- Heavy, columnar-shaped legs with poor cosmetic appearance
- Emotional distress related to body image and chronic pain
Treatment Performed (Staged Power-Assisted/Tumescent Liposuction)
- Stage 1: Bilateral lower extremity liposuction
→ 10.5 liters of lipedema fat removed - Stage 2 (6–12 months later):
→ Additional 3.5 liters removed from thighs and calves
→ Simultaneous thigh lift (medial thighplasty) and vertical calf lift for skin redundancy - Stage 3 (most recent):
→ Arm lipedema liposuction + brachioplasty (arm lift)
