Lipedema Surgery: Patient 7
This patient was diagnosed with Lipedema by an outside physician and presented to our office seeking treatment. Her first operation included circumferential high volume liposuction of her arms, legs, and hips. This was followed by a second operation which included an arm lift (brachioplasty), as well as a specialized procedure called an auto-augmentation breast lift. Using this technique allows the use of the native breast tissue for additional volume, which is rearranged and lifted rather than being removed and discarded. She is now 4 months out from her first operation, and 1 month out from her second, and doing very well. We will be continuing her care with additional operations in the future to address the lipedema in her lower extremities and abdomen.
